Which Hikvision Equipment Is in the Turbo HD Specials?

Every package is built around genuine Hikvision Turbo HD equipment, the same industry-standard kit used in commercial installations across South Africa. Hikvision is the world’s largest video surveillance manufacturer, and its Turbo HD range is well suited to South African conditions: durable, weather-resistant and supported by a wide local distribution network. All Hikvision hardware carries a 3-year South African warranty.

Each package uses a Hikvision DVR sized to the camera count: the DS-7104HGHI-M1 4-Channel Turbo HD DVR for 4 cameras, the DS-7108HGHI-M1 8-Channel Turbo HD DVR for 8 cameras, and the DS-7116HGHI-M1 16-Channel Turbo HD DVR for 16 cameras. All three support H.265 Pro+ compression, which lets a single surveillance hard drive hold a much longer recording window than older formats.

Outdoor perimeter coverage is handled by the Hikvision DS-2CE16D0T-EXIPF 2.8mm Turbo HD bullet camera, a 2MP IP67 weather-rated bullet with 20m EXIR night vision and a wide-angle 2.8mm lens suited to driveways, gates and perimeters.

For covered positions such as patios, garage ceilings, reception areas and shop interiors, packages also include the Hikvision DS-2CE76D0T-EXIPF 2.8mm Turbo HD turret camera, a compact 2MP turret with 20m EXIR night vision and 3-axis adjustment. It runs over the same RG59 coax into the same DVR as the bullet cameras.

Where the Turbo HD Specials Sit in the Full Range

The Turbo HD packages are our most affordable wired option and the only tier that runs on coax. They are the right call for replacing aging cameras on existing coax, or for budget-conscious new installs. What they do not have is AI detection, so if endless false alerts are the problem you want to solve, one of the other four tiers is a better fit.

Our TP-Link Tapo WiFi specials from R5,900 are the cheapest entry point overall and need no data cable back to a recorder, which suits rentals and complexes with modification restrictions. The cameras pan and tilt through 360 degrees and each one records to its own memory card.

Our TP-Link VIGI AI specials from R11,500 are the value route into wired AI: human and vehicle classification, full-colour night vision and genuine two-way audio, at roughly half the cost per camera of the Hikvision AI range, in 2, 4, 8 or 10 camera packages. The trade-off is a 2-year warranty instead of 3.

Wired CCTV or WiFi Cameras – Which Should I Choose?

Choose wired when you want continuous 24/7 recording to a central hard drive, more than six cameras, or reliable recording where WiFi is weak. Choose WiFi when running data cable is impractical or you want the lowest entry price.

The packages on this page are wired systems: every camera connects back to a central DVR on RG59 coax and records continuously to a surveillance-grade hard drive. That makes them the better fit for long-term, always-on recording, multiple cameras across a larger property, and areas where WiFi signal is unreliable.
