Full HD or 4K for 2 Cameras?

Both packages use outdoor pan-tilt cameras that turn 360 degrees and record to their own memory card. For R2,000 more across 2 cameras, the 4K package adds colour night vision, a louder deterrent and smarter detection.

Where Do 2 Pan-Tilt Cameras Go?

Most homes put one camera on the front, covering the gate, driveway and front door, and one at the back, covering the yard and back door. Because both cameras pan and tilt through 360 degrees and follow movement automatically, each one covers far more ground than a fixed camera in the same spot. If your property has a side passage or a second gate, the 4 Camera WiFi Special is usually the better fit.

Please note:
This package price includes standard installation and a 30m power cable allowance per camera. Extra cable, difficult roof access, weak WiFi signal areas, additional network work, extra power points or special mounting requirements may affect the final price. Easy CCTV will confirm everything clearly before installation.

2 Camera WiFi Special FAQs

Does this WiFi camera special include installation?

Yes. Both the Full HD and 4K packages include installation, a 64GB memory card per camera, a 30m power cable allowance per camera, 1 Hikvision 12V power supply, junction boxes, app setup and handover.

What is the difference between the 2 camera Full HD and 4K packages?

The Full HD package (R5,900) uses the Tapo C500: 1080p resolution, 360 degree pan with 130 degree tilt, person detection with motion tracking, infrared night vision and a sound alarm. The 4K package (R7,900) uses the Tapo C560WS: 4K 8MP resolution, starlight colour night vision, a 99dB siren with spotlights, person, vehicle and pet detection, local facial recognition, WiFi 6 and an Ethernet port for hardwiring. The upgrade costs R2,000 more.

Are 2 cameras enough for my home?

For most townhouses and smaller homes, yes. Two pan-tilt cameras placed front and back cover the gate, driveway, front door, yard and back door, because each camera rotates to follow movement rather than watching one fixed angle. Larger homes with side passages or more than one gate are better served by the 4 Camera WiFi Special.

Does each camera record on its own?

Yes. Each camera records to its own 64GB memory card, so no NVR or DVR is needed and recording continues even if your WiFi drops. You view live and recorded footage through the Tapo app on your phone.

How are the cameras powered?

WiFi cameras still need power. We run a power cable from a Hikvision 12V power supply to each camera, with a 30m allowance per camera and a sealed junction box at each mounting point. This package uses 1 Hikvision 12V power supply.

Can the cameras warn off intruders?

Yes. The Full HD Tapo C500 plays a custom sound alarm when it detects a person. The 4K Tapo C560WS adds a 99dB siren with spotlights that switch on automatically. Both have two-way audio, so you can speak to visitors through the camera from your phone.

Can I add more cameras later?

Yes. The Tapo app manages many cameras on one account, so extra cameras can be added at any time. Each additional camera is quoted individually, and a second power supply is added once the system goes past four cameras.

What warranty do the cameras carry?

TP-Link Tapo cameras carry a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Easy CCTV adds a 12-month workmanship warranty on installation labour and handles warranty claims on your behalf.
