How much does WiFi camera installation cost?
WiFi camera installation costs R5,900 for 2 TP-Link Tapo Full HD pan-tilt cameras, R10,900 for 4 and R15,900 for 6, fully installed. The 4K Tapo C560WS packages cost R7,900, R14,900 and R22,900. What is the difference between the five CCTV tiers?
TP-Link Tapo WiFi uses pan-tilt WiFi cameras that record to their own memory cards, from R5,900. Turbo HD uses Hikvision analogue cameras on coax into a DVR, from R7,500. TP-Link VIGI uses wired IP cameras with AI classification, colour night vision and two-way audio, from R10,900. AcuSense AI uses Hikvision IP cameras with deep-learning detection, from R19,900. ColorVu adds full-colour night vision to 0.0005 lux and an active deterrent on top of AcuSense, from R24,900. TP-Link carries a 2-year warranty and Hikvision a 3-year South African warranty. How much does a 4-camera CCTV installation cost?
A fully installed Hikvision Turbo HD 4 Camera CCTV Special is R7,500, including DVR, 2TB surveillance hard drive, 100m of RG59 cable, installation and mobile viewing setup. Four TP-Link Tapo WiFi pan-tilt cameras cost R10,900 in Full HD or R14,900 in 4K. A wired 4 camera TP-Link VIGI AI package is R15,900. For Hikvision AI, the closest equivalent is the 3 Camera AcuSense 4MP Special at R19,900.
How much does an 8-camera CCTV installation cost?
An 8 camera Hikvision Turbo HD installation is R11,500. An 8 camera TP-Link VIGI AI installation is R26,900, which fills its 8-channel NVR completely and includes AI detection, colour night vision and two-way audio on every camera. For Hikvision AI at that scale, a 7 camera AcuSense 4MP package is R35,900 and a 7 camera ColorVu 4MP package is R46,900.
What is the labour cost for CCTV installation?
Labour is quoted separately from hardware on every Easy CCTV invoice. For a custom commercial installation, labour typically accounts for 30 to 40% of the total project cost. The fixed-price specials include labour as a known part of the package price, so the R5,900 to R57,900 figures across our five tiers cover hardware, installation, mounting and configuration as single fixed prices.
Do you offer payment plans for CCTV installation?
We do not offer in-house finance, but we work with several rent-to-own and asset finance providers if you prefer to spread the cost. Many clients also use existing bond facilities or credit cards for the installation. Contact us to discuss your preferred payment arrangement.
Is the installation fee included in the price?
For fixed-price specials, yes: installation, hardware and configuration are all included in the package price. For custom commercial installations, hardware and installation labour are quoted separately so you can see exactly what is being charged for each, rather than one being inflated to subsidise the other.
How long does a CCTV installation take?
A typical 2 to 4 camera WiFi installation is completed in half a day to a day. A 4-camera wired installation (Turbo HD, TP-Link VIGI or AcuSense) takes one full day on site, including cabling, mounting, configuration, mobile app setup and live testing. An 8-camera installation usually takes 1 to 1.5 days, and 16-camera or commercial jobs typically run 2 to 3 days. We do not leave until every detection zone is configured and you have received a live test notification on your phone.
What happens if a camera fails after installation?
Hikvision cameras carry a 3-year South African manufacturer warranty, TP-Link VIGI and Tapo cameras carry a 2-year manufacturer warranty, and our installation work carries a 12-month workmanship warranty. If a camera fails within the warranty period, we replace it at no charge, with no labour fees and no callout fees. After the workmanship warranty expires, we still service the system at standard rates.
Why are some CCTV installations advertised at half the price of your AcuSense range?
Two honest reasons. First, our own Tapo WiFi, Turbo HD and TP-Link VIGI tiers genuinely cost roughly half or less of comparable AcuSense IP installations. That gap reflects technology and brand positioning, not a quality compromise. Second, the cheapest installations advertised elsewhere typically use unbranded or grey-import cameras with no warranty, cheap power supplies that fail within 18 months, and skip configuration entirely. We use genuine hardware from authorised South African distribution, professional cabling and full configuration with a live test before we leave.
What does a CCTV callout cost?
Site inspections ahead of a new installation are free. For repairs and diagnostics on an existing system, the callout is R750 including the first hour in Pretoria East, R950 in Centurion, Midrand and Johannesburg, or R1,200 after hours, credited against any repair work booked within 30 days.
