Standard bullet cameras give you a roughly 100° view at 2.8mm. That is plenty for most positions. But sometimes you have a property layout where one mounting position needs to cover a full 180°: a corner of a building looking down two perpendicular walls, a courtyard with activity on multiple sides, a parking lot where you want to watch the whole bay rather than half of it.

The Hikvision DS-2CD2T46G2P-ISU/SL Panoramic is the camera that handles those positions with a single unit. It uses dual lenses inside one housing to deliver a true 180° panoramic view at 4MP combined resolution, with active strobe and siren built in. One mount, one cable run, one camera in the NVR, the visual coverage equivalent of two cameras pointing 90° apart.

Panoramic cameras need careful mounting and configuration

The 180° view only delivers value when the camera is mounted at the right height and angle to capture the full intended coverage area. Wrong height or wrong angle and the bottom of the view is the wall directly below the camera.
