The 4MP audio bullet with Smart Hybrid Light

The Hikvision DS-2CD2041G0-LIU is the previous-generation 4MP IP bullet with built-in audio and Smart Hybrid Light technology. Smart Hybrid Light intelligently switches between infrared (for stealth detection) and white-light (for colour identification with deterrent value) depending on the situation. Combined with built-in audio capture, this is a versatile mid-range camera for residential and small-business positions where flexibility matters more than the latest-generation sensor.

We still install this camera regularly on multi-camera packages where the budget needs to stretch, on existing-system extensions where matching the older generation is preferable, and at supplementary positions where AcuSense classification is more than the spot needs. Audio CCTV has legal context

South African law requires audio recording on private property to be reasonably proportionate to the security purpose. Most domestic and small-business installations are well within sensible legal bounds, but it is worth being clear with anyone working at the property (gardeners, helpers, visitors) that audio is recorded.
