The latest-generation compact 4MP ColorVu

The Hikvision DS-2CD2047G3-LIY 2.8mm is the G3 (latest-generation) version of the compact 4MP ColorVu bullet. Same compact 47-series housing as the G2H, refined sensor and processing. Improvements are most visible in the lowest-light conditions: cleaner colour rendering at deep night, better noise handling in the worst-lit positions, and updated supplementary-light management.

For most residential positions the previous-generation G2H remains an excellent choice. The G3 is the right call when the position is genuinely dark (no street lighting, no gate lights, no security floodlights), or when standardising a fresh installation on the latest available technology matters.

• The DS-2CD2087G3-LIY 8MP G3 ColorVu doubles the resolution in a bigger T-series body. The right call for high-priority positions.

The accessory that completes the install

• The DS-2CE16D0T-LPFS 2.8mm is a budget-friendly Turbo HD analogue alternative, useful when the existing system is coax-based and a full IP migration is not practical.
• The DS-1260ZJ wall-mount bracket is the matching mounting bracket for clean wall mounts that conceal the cable run and provide proper IP67 sealing at the camera end.
