The Hikvision DS-2CE19D0T-VFIT3F solves this with a manually-adjustable varifocal 2.7 to 13.5mm lens. Set the focal length to suit the specific position on installation (anywhere across the 5x range), then lock it in place. No motorised zoom complexity, no recurring app-driven zoom adjustments, just the right lens for that exact spot.

Useful in awkward installations: a position 17 metres from the gate (too far for 2.8mm, too close for a 6mm), a side-passage view that needs slightly tighter coverage than 2.8mm gives you, an over-the-pool camera that needs to clip the neighbour’s washing line out of frame. The varifocal range covers all of those cases without requiring a different SKU per scenario.
