The Hikvision DS-2DE2C400MWG-E 2.8mm is the 4MP version of the compact outdoor mini-PTZ family. Same compact weather-sealed housing as the 2MP variant. Same pan and tilt motion. Same Hik-Connect mobile app control. Doubled resolution gives you usable face and number-plate detail at the kind of distances that matter for residential and small-business PTZ positions.

For most domestic installations where a mini-PTZ is the right choice (suburban front yards, small business shopfronts, townhouse complex communal areas, larger residential gardens), this is the version we recommend. The premium over 2MP is small. The detail improvement is significant.

If you need serious PTZ zoom capability

• The DS-2SF8C425MXG-ELW/26(F0) is the higher-end PTZ with serious zoom range, for sites where the mini-PTZ form factor is too limited.
