The 3.6mm tighter-lens 2MP Turbo HD bullet
Same entry-level 2MP Turbo HD platform as the DS-2CE16D0T-LFS 2.8mm, with a tighter 3.6mm lens that trades peripheral coverage for usable detail at greater distance. The right call for positions where the camera is more than 8 metres from the area you want to identify.
For driveways longer than 15 metres, boundary walls running alongside open ground, and supplementary positions watching distant gates or pedestrian paths, this lens variant gives you sharper face and number-plate detail at the further end of the camera’s effective range.
What this camera is actually good at
- 2MP resolution over coax with tighter 3.6mm lens.
- Roughly 76° horizontal field of view (versus 102° on the 2.8mm sibling).
- Sharper face and number-plate detail at distance than the wider 2.8mm.
- IR illumination up to 30 metres.
- IP67 weather-sealed housing.
- Standard Turbo HD output over RG59 coaxial cable.
Where this camera belongs on your property
- Long driveways watching activity at the gate end from a position closer to the house
- Boundary walls running alongside vacant stands, alleys, or open ground
- Supplementary positions where face identification at distance matters
- Smallholding gate-watch positions on existing Turbo HD systems
If you want a wider view or different feature set
- The DS-2CE16D0T-LFS 2.8mm is the wide-angle sibling for closer positions.
- The DS-2CE16D0T-EXIPF 2.8mm adds ColorVu.
- The DS-2CE19D0T-VFIT3F is the varifocal 2.7 to 13.5mm version, useful when the focal length needs to be tunable on site.
