The VIGI C240 is the discreet option in the range. Where a bullet camera announces itself, a dome sits flat against a ceiling or soffit and draws far less attention, which makes it the right choice for entrance lobbies, covered patios, carports, reception areas, shop floors and anywhere a protruding camera would look out of place or be easy to knock.
Built to take a knock
The C240 carries an IK10 vandal-proof rating, which is the highest impact rating in common use. In plain terms it is built to survive a deliberate strike from a heavy object. That matters at head height near doorways, in retail spaces, in complexes with shared access, and anywhere the camera is within reach. The polycarbonate dome protects the lens assembly rather than leaving it exposed the way a bullet housing does.
Full colour after dark
The C240 holds full-colour images in low light rather than dropping to black-and-white infrared. Colour is what makes footage useful after the fact: the colour of a jacket, the colour of a car, a description you can actually give someone. A built-in spotlight assists when ambient light runs out entirely.
Knows the difference between a person and a moth
Onboard AI classifies people and vehicles separately from everything else in the frame, so alerts arrive for things that matter rather than every insect crossing the lens at night. Smart detection covers motion, area intrusion, line-crossing, object removal, abandoned object and camera tampering. All of it is configured per camera during installation rather than left on factory defaults.
Records audio too
A built-in microphone captures audio alongside the video, which adds useful context at a reception desk, a service counter or a front door. Installation
