The VIGI NVR4032H is a commercial recorder. Thirty-two channels, four drive bays, alarm integration and a rack-mountable chassis put it in a different category to the units built for homes and small offices. This is what goes into a warehouse, a business park, an estate or a multi-building site.
Bandwidth is the number that matters
Channel count gets the attention, but on a large system bandwidth is the real constraint. The NVR4032H handles 320 Mbps incoming and 320 Mbps outgoing, which is what allows it to run a full complement of high-resolution cameras without dropping frames when several people are viewing at once.
Storage sized for compliance
Four SATA bays taking up to 10TB each means retention measured in months rather than weeks, which is what insurance requirements and incident investigations on commercial sites usually call for.
Finding footage without watching all of it
Smart search lets you find footage by motion or by object rather than scrubbing through hours of recording. Face recognition supports access management where that is appropriate. On a 32-camera site, an incident that would take a full day to review manually becomes a few minutes of filtered search. That capability is the main reason to step up to this tier.

Alarm integration
Sixteen alarm inputs and four alarm outputs let the recorder tie into the rest of a site’s security: smoke detectors, beams, electric fence energisers, and external warning lights or sirens on the output side. When an input triggers, the recorder can start enhanced recording and fire an alarm output at the same time.
