Thermal cameras see heat instead, which means they detect intruders in total darkness, through smoke, in heavy rain, and in any condition where standard cameras fail. The Hikvision DS-2TD2628-3/QA is the entry-level HeatPro thermal bullet with a bi-spectrum design: a 3mm thermal lens for heat detection and a 4mm optical lens for standard CCTV imagery, both in one camera body so you get both views simultaneously.

The bi-spectrum design means you can verify what the thermal camera detected (it lit up because of a person walking through the boundary) using the optical channel for visual confirmation. The right call for residential and small-commercial perimeter monitoring on properties where standard CCTV is failing in fog, dust, smoke, or heavy rain.
